KrystalHi Selkirk Rex Show Page

KrystalHi Selkirk Rex Cattery is committed to promoting the Selkirk Rex breed among cat associations. In February 1994, Selkirk Rex cats were accepted into Championship status in The International Cat Association (TICA). Because TICA has shows globally, we are more active in TICA because of our geographic location.

In order to continue advancing the Selkirk Rex among cat associations, it is important to enter these beautiful cats in association-sponsored shows. We intend to do that with our cats in every show we can conceivably go to. Our primary intention is not to compete for points, but to show that Selkirk Rex are amazing cats deserving of recognition, regardless of their version (short hair or long hair).

Breeders who show their cats are more likely to produce the best cats according to the breed standard. KrystalHi Selkir Rex Cattery is a committed preservation breeder.

KrystalHi Selkirk Rex will be at the following shows:

Now begins the 2026/2027 show season and while I have gotten all the cats I have their top titles, I will still take them out here and there until I can get a couple more show girls to add to my program.

The following are the shows we are scheduled so far to go to:

Garden of the Cats

We have put on the TICA schedule our next show, which will be at the Boulder County Fairgrounds in Longmont, CO on the weekend of October 31-November 1, 2026. You can learn more at our club’s website.

On Misu’s short career of showing, she accomplished incredible feats. Her first year, she was South Central Region’s fourteenth Best Kitten of 2024. She was South Central Region’s Best Cat of 2025 and the eighth Best Cat Internationally of 2025.  She was also the Best Selkirk Rex LH Internationally in 2025.  We did not show much in 2026, but Misu still was South Central Region’s fourth Best Cat and second Best Selkirk Rex LH Internationally in 2026.  We retired Misu from showing for the time to try to breed her.  Hopefully, she succeeds just as well at being a mom as amazing the judges in the show hall.

Right, Kitti Kat Tiramisu (Misu) getting her South Central Region’s Best Cat of 2025 award at the Regional Banquet, with Regional Director, Jim Armel, and TICA Judge, Harley Devilbiss.

Amelia didn’t love to show as much as Misu. In fact, she was grumpy about it. However, we took her to a few shows to see how far she would go. She did title to Quad Grand Champion.
